At Emily’s Swim School our teaching philosophy is to tailor swimming to suit each student’s needs. Fun is always a priority in every class. For the younger ones creativity is a a big part of keeping the students engaged. Playing and being comfortable in the water makes learning to swim fun and exciting. Our backyard pool is large and we make sure that it is always heated to the high 80’s. We have all of the equipment available to make sure that the necessary requirements are met for each level. I teach to Red Cross standards and am qualified to teach levels Sea Otter to Bronze Cross. I am happy to teach all ages and abilities including adult swimmers. I am experienced and have worked at the Town of Aurora and Town of Newmarket as an instructor and lifeguard for several years.
For parents who wish to stay during their child’s swimming lesson, we have a poolside table with an umbrella and magazines. For frequently asked questions, please visit here.
We are also happy to provide lifeguarding services for pool parties. Contact us for more information on this. It is very easy for adults hosting a party to become distracted and having a qualified lifeguard ensures that the children are safe and supervised at all times.
